TECHNOLOGY METALS EUROPE AND CSIC: SHAPING THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY METALS RESEARCH

In a joint effort to lead innovation and development in the technological metals sector, we are proud to announce a strategic collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), through the Spanish Geological and Mining Institute (IGME). This historic agreement aims to promote scientific and technological research in areas of mutual interest, marking a milestone in the joint search for sustainable and advanced solutions in the field of strategic materials for the energy transition.

A glimpse of the protagonists

CSIC, a renowned public research organisation, is dedicated to the advancement of scientific and technological knowledge in a wide range of disciplines. Through its collaboration with the IGME, CSIC brings a wealth of experience in geological and mining research, essential for the development of innovative projects in the technological metals sector.

For our part, our wish is to contribute to scientific research with our expertise in the field of exploitation and exploration of technological metals, which are essential for the ecological transition and technological development.

Areas of Collaboration

The collaboration is structured around several fundamental axes, including mutual advice, support for the development of scientific and technological activities, the joint organisation of events and seminars, and the implementation of research projects. This agreement also provides for the training of research personnel, thus reinforcing the scientific and technical capacity of both organisations.

Partnership Development and Monitoring Committee

To ensure the success and proper implementation of this protocol, a joint monitoring committee has been established, with representatives from both parties. This committee will ensure compliance with the agreed objectives and facilitate the resolution of possible discrepancies, ensuring a fruitful and effective collaboration.

Impact and Future

This Memorandum of Understanding not only symbolises a commitment to research and innovation, but also establishes a solid basis for future joint projects. With an initial duration of five years, extendable by mutual agreement, this collaboration promises to significantly boost progress in the technological metals sector, with the potential to contribute to economic, social and cultural development.

The union of Technology Metals Europe and CSIC-IGME represents a step towards the consolidation of a more sustainable, efficient and globally competitive technology metals industry. Together, we will work on sustainable solutions to overcome the challenges of today and tomorrow in the mining, technology and energy industries.
